Sun-dried tomato hummus
Ingredients
  • 1 cans garbanzo beans chickpeas
  • 2 cloves garlic roughly chopped
  • 2 lemons juiced
  • 1 cup basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil
  • 2 Tbl tahini (found near the peanut butter)
  • 5-7 shakes of Tabasco sauce
  • small amount of water
  • sea salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Rinse the sun-dried tomatoes in a strainer under hot water to remove most of the oil.
  2. Add all of the ingredients into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse a few times to combine and then stir mixture with a spatula. Continue to run processor, adding a little water to thin to a consistency you like.
  3. Serve with a side of raw vegetables or crackers.
