I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I want to keep it simple. Instead of feeling guilty for not making my own mayonnaise, it’s great to find a substitute that works! To make this delicious tempeh salad sandwich, I used a store-bought no oil dressing I found at Whole Foods Market (see photo above). It’s called Vegan Caesar Dressing. The ingredients: soy sauce, white wine vinegar, dried yeast, corn starch, lemon juice concentrate, crushed garlic, dijon mustard, hot sauce, xanthan gum and white pepper.
Not bad… and all non-GMO, I might add. While I love red onion, I didn’t have any on hand so this is made with a yellow onion, but you can put anything you like into these vegan salads… celery, dill pickles, olives, cucumber. Mix it up to you liking and enjoy.
I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments below for this Tempeh Salad Lettuce Wrap ! If you have a photo, post it on my Facebook page, tag me using the hashtag #plantbasedcooking
