If you haven’t been to Dr. Greger’s website, NutritionFacts.org, I highly recommend it as a great resource for fast and easy to understand videos about studies in nutrition and health. There are over 2,000 health topics, including (to name a few):
- Arthritis
- Blood pressure
- Cancer
- Depression
- Diabetes
- Inflammation
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids
- Pregnancy
- Weight loss
To give you an example of, check out the numerous topics on his Health & Nutrition Topics page. There is information, usually in a short video form, on every kind of health condition you can think of. One could truly get lost for hours, devouring information on the site.
Informative & Entertaining Presentations by Dr. Greger
I started following Dr. Greger in 2012 which was his first full year in existence with his video, “Uprooting the Leading Causes of Death.” The hour-long video touches on the ways to stop and/or reverse 15 of the leading causes of death – including, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and diabetes. Not only is it informative and interesting, but Dr. Greger is also quite an entertaining presenter.
And, he did it in subsequent years until he started presenting, “How Not to Die, The Rold of Diet in Preventing, Arresting and Treating Our Top 15 Killers.”
I had the happy fortune to see this presentation in person when he came to the Vegfest Colorado n 2016. What a treat! He presented his talk to a standing-room-only enthusiastic audience and energized us all to eat a plant-based diet for optimal health.

2012, “Uprooting the Leading Causes of Death.”
2013, “More Than an Apple a Day: Preventing Our Most Common Diseases.” As he mentioned in the abovementioned video, due to side-effects of prescription drugs, doctors may actually be the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. Expanding upon that fact, in this video, Dr. Greger takes a look at the top 12 most common reasons people visit the doctor and explores what can preventatively be done in order to avoid needing to make that visit.
