Plant-Based Cooking helps people transition to eating a plant-based diet with recipes and articles about living a plant-based lifestyle.
A plant-based diet is one that includes an abundance of FRESH FRUITS and VEGETABLES, LEGUMES, WHOLE GRAINS, NUTS, and SEEDS, but NO DAIRY or EGGS and VERY LITTLE or NO MEAT or PROCESSED OIL. There are other views on healthy eating, but the more I read, the more I know that this is THE way to eat.
I know it's hard to give up habits we love. Give it time - take little steps and before you know it, you'll be really enjoying the bounty of beautiful, plant-based foods that are so available. That was my goal when starting this website, to find delicious plant food recipes that were as satisfying as the fattening, hormone-laden, artery-clogging bad foods I use to eat, like cheese and meat. I'm excited to say that it's working for me. I love eating this new way. But, that's not to say that I don't struggle or have down days. The main thing is DON'T GIVE UP! I'm here to support you and, hopefully, motivate you to continue. You know that you'll be healthier and happier.

Eat your fruits and veggies - at least if you want to be free of excess fat and most western diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. It may even contribute to staying younger, longer as you age. I'm on a quest to eat less meat and make vegetables more interesting. I hope you'll join me.

"I’m new to the wfpb world. I’ve searched ( and I do mean searched!) many sites to find the support I need on my health journey. I’m grateful to have found yours. It has been the most helpful in providing me with clear, step-by-step instructions on how to succeed. Your recipes are simple and delicious. My family enjoys them too! I too have cardiac palpitations and increased cholesterol. I did blood work 1 month ago and then began wfpb living. I’m going to repeat my blood work in 2 months. I’m calmer, sleep well and have increased energy . I’ve lost 10 pounds, I’m not hungry (except at meal time) eating far less.Thank you for your website. I wish you well on your continued health journey." Terry Stevenson
