If you're planning on celebrating this year, do you know exactly what you're celebrating? A lot of people think the 5th of May is the celebration of Mexican independence, but it's not. The date marks Mexico’s victory in the battle at Puebla in 1862 during the Franco-Mexican war. Mexican independence day is actually September 16th.
